The Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program is the multi-disciplinary integration of five domains of readiness - physical, nutritional, mental, spiritual, and sleep - specifically designed to improve operational performance, ensure Soldier deployability and well-being, and build resilience of our Force so that we can deploy anywhere in the world to shape,deter, fight, and win.

MISSION

Your mission is our mission. To achieve your mission objectives, Soldier readiness stands at the heart of every operation. With your help, we will be able to make the Army Soldiers more ready than ever for obstacles you may encounter. We ask for your help communicating, encouraging, and being the utmost example of Solider Readiness. As a command team, your Soldiers will look to you to be prepared for the fight. When you see a gap in readiness or need for H2F services, reach out to the appropriate SME for consultation and activities. Without you utilizing the services and impressing upon your subordinates the urgency of Soldier readiness, our missision and subsequently your mission, will fall through the cracks.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

The H2F Physical Readiness Pillar partly consists of our Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches (SCC) priority is to improve the Soldier's physical performance and readiness by safely Implementing training through proper program development, movement techniques, and assessments. Solider lethality depends largely on an individual's physical condition. Soldier readiness will be achieved by mitigating Musckuloskeletal Injuries, improving physical performance, and educating Soldiers on physical fitness.

MENTAL READINESS

The H2F Mental Readiness Pillar is designed to increase, optimize, and extend the Soldiers' and unit's ability to mentally perform their Mission Essential Task Lists (METL), thereby increasing unit and individual lethality and to return injured soldiers to duty more quickly by providing a high quality, dedicated, multidisciplinary team approach.

MUSCULOSKELETAL INJURIES

The H2F Physical Readiness Pillar also consists of our Injury Control Team includes physical therapy, athletic training, and occupational therapy services to examine, evaluate, diagnose, and treat impairments associated with various acute, subacute, and chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions to return Soldiers to duty in a timely manner. The Injury Control Team also internally tracks injury trends across BNs to inform BN SCCs of real-time injury trends to tailor education and programming for the BN.

The H2F Nutrition Pillar provides a framework of baseline nutrition education that utilizes acomprehensive holistic approach. The nutritional foundation established by a Soldier’s usual dietary intake can greatly impact future health and disease. The nutrition pillar aims to provide a focus on foundational health that supports optimal physical and cognitivefunction as well as lifelong disease and injury prevention. The nutrition domain utilizesevidence-based science to provide the best available nutrition evidence in order to prevent, resolve, or manage various nutrition-related issues.
